    We are located on the waterfront in the city of Haughton. Boat docks are located directly in front of our motel with fishing piers and grills for outdoor cooking. - In the summer our gardens are just beautiful and in the winter you may snowmobile from our lot to miles of snowmobile trails. Fall color here in Keweenaw Peninsula is spectaculat.     Overview: We are the Gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula and are located on the waterfront of the Portage Lake, a 26 mile waterway. Cross-country & Downhill skiing are nearby, with snowmobiling right in front of our parking lot. A walking trail is located in front of the motel.

    Suomi College: Quincy Street - Hancock, MI 49930 - 906-482-5300 - A private college with a Finnish Heritage. Suomi's Curriculum everything from Law Enforcement to Nursing and Liberal Arts.

    Mt. Ripley Ski Hill: M 26 - Hancock, MI 49930 - 906-487-2340 - Mon. - Fri. 2:00 - 9:00, Sat. & Sun. 10:00 - 5:00 - Owned and operated by Michigan Tech. University, sports, a double chair lift, and also has a T-bar. Runs from 2,000 to 2,500 feet with a 423 foot vertical drop.
